Update

Just a little update before the start of the weekend! I've already accomplished one of my projects for the week!

-On Wednesday night I took a load to the local Salvation Army store!

-This might be a cheat but Pants took part of the load of books in for trade last night. My plan is to take as much as I can tonight and see if another trip will be needed or not.

-Also I invested in the Mac Box Set in an attempt to update my current OS from Tiger to Snow Leopard. I'll try installing it tonight and see how things go! Hopefully my Magic Mouse will be all that I hope and more!

That means one and a half things can be crossed off the list! Hooray!

I plan on doing my DIY project on Sunday. My friend B is stopping by so that I can lend her the Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris that the TV show True Blood is based on. I highly, highly recommend both! The show is MUCH more graphic and takes the story to a different level. I'd say to only watch if you think you have the stomach for it. It's HBO in every sense of the channel.

Also, I bought this ring last night at Forever21...$5.80! I love it! It's almost as big as my finger :)

It's much sparklier in person :)

Etsy seller - StudioCherie

I love Etsy.

I know that I'm not alone in this love because every girl I know and blog I read sings the praises of the crafty site. (At least it feels that way!) Even if they are singing the praises of the ridiculous stuff too....Regretsy.com. For as much as I love it, I often forget about checking it which is why I receive their daily newsletter. Etsy staffers showcase the cream of the crop of what's available using a theme such as Nautical or Wedding. Each piece showcased falls under that category in some way. One day the theme must've been travel because this duffle* bag was featured:

I was instantly smitten. I LOVE it. I think it's the fabric or the mixture of fabrics. I am a huge fan of mixing prints and patterns. Throwing two things together that might not ordinarily look all that hot and you end up with something quirky and totally unique. I keep trying to justify buying it. Using the old bargaining chip of, "I'll clean out my current bags and then replace them with this!" I've almost convinced myself. I've been trying to live by the rule: if you can't stop thinking about it 2 weeks later, then you should get it. Well it's almost been 2 weeks! Also, everything I want on Etsy seems to immediately sell out and this is still for sale....maybe the universe is trying to tell me something!

For all you crafty people out there, you can also purchase the pattern to make a bag of your own! I think that's pretty exciting...now if only I knew how to sew!

*What exactly is the correct spelling of duffle? When I spellchecked it said 'duffel', so I fired up the handy Dictionary.com and typed in 'duffle' which brought me to the entry for 'duffel'. The definition matched what I thought I was spelling. BUT all the links that show up to match what you searched had duffle. For instance, "Buy your L.L. Bean duffle bag here" and such. So which is it? Duffle or Duffel?!

Perception

Remember when you were a kid and everything seemed enormous? That maple tree went all the way to the sky! The backseat of your parent's car was like a bed! Those hills were as tall as mountains and the size XL shirt was bigger then you could EVER imagine wearing.

Over the weekend I bought some new underwear. Yes, yes TMI! These underwear were the next size up because the last ones just weren't cutting the mustard. I brought them home and took them out of the package and I thought, "No WAY is my behind that gigantic! These will never fit."

Oh butt (<---see what I did there?!) they did! I've really got that much junk in my trunk.

Hills are surmountable.

When I lay in the backseat of the car my legs get all bent up.

The XL underwear aren't so enormous anymore.

Being a grown-up isn't nearly as awe-inspiring as being a kid.

Netflix Challenge

On an almost daily basis I check in with many of the Sugar sites. I'm obsessed! Fancy giveaways, (I'll have to post about my winnings!) coverage that spans fashion, media and more, and each mini-site is updated constantly throughout the day.

Well Buzzsugar has just started a fun challenge! The Netflix Challenge is your call to movie watching arms! Their approach is to pick one actor, director, etc and watch their entire repertoire. You've got until the end of summer so this is an easily achievable task. I'm going to take this Challenge but change up the terms to suit me. Take that Buzzsugar!

Pants and I have had Netflix for over a year now and have amassed QUITE the queue. Both instant and DVD (207 DVD and 154 instant). It's quite daunting when I stop and think about it. I've decided my Challenge will be to watch at least 15 selections from either instant or regular DVD. I'll give myself until August 31st to complete. September is no longer Summer to me no matter what the temperature is.

As I watch a selection I will post a review of the movie/tv show. Between catching up on the Hulu queue, the Busy Bookworm Challenge and now this Netflix Challenge, I should have quite the busy Summer! Wish me luck!
